Ian Rapoport names the Vikings as a team that “makes sense” for 49ers QB Trey Lance.

The San Francisco 49ers were holding their third and final practice of the week, and quarterback Trey Lance was not on the field. Shortly before the 49ers started practice on Wednesday afternoon, a report indicated that the team had settled on Sam Darnold as their No. 2 quarterback.

Minnesota had interest in drafting Lance when he was coming out. They already drafted a rookie QB in Jaren Hall the Marshall, Minnesota native played collegiately for North Dakota State before being taken third overall in the 2021 draft after the 49ers traded up.
