Holy guacamole! Truck with 8 tons of avocados overturns in San Mateo

  

16,000 pounds of avocados fell on its side on a major highway in the San Francisco Bay Area on Monday morning, creating a traffic jam during my ride back home,

The fallen truck was reported at 3:40 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 at the Third Avenue offramp in San Mateo, what caused the truck to flip on its side is under investigation. It looked like a few vehicles were involved, KCBS Radio reported on social media that traffic on northbound 101 was backed up to Belmont, with traffic slowdowns also on westbound state Route 92 through Foster City on to the San Mateo Bridge.
