Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis A Navy veteran had been whisked into a second term with a fresh set of conservative measures tucked under his arm and an ambitious $100-million political machine built with Iowa in mind.

DeSantis selected the Iowa caucus as his ideal launching ground His socially conservative message was designed to appeal to the state’s large Evangelical voting bloc. “There may be some differences with me and Donald Trump, and I think that those differences redound to my benefit in a place like Iowa,” DeSantis said. They threw everything at Ron DeSantis.
